Who is Don Beeth?
The recent election hinged on one single issue: whether the brainwashees of looter totalitarianism would or would not manage to turn off the lights in America by banning electrical power generation.
The average yokel voting Republican will, of course, understand none of that. To them the idea is to keep forcing them nasty Jezebels to have unwanted babies–babies brainwashable into the Lebensborn indoctrination facilities that crank out goodthinkful, altruistic, church-going ‘Murricans willing to stand up to gun-grabbing commie atheists and their Saracen buddies.
The average Dem, CPUSA or Green voter will testify in abject and altruistic sincerity that its vote was cast to Save Humanity from Imminent Extinction at the hands of despicable Nazi Plutocrats eager to broil or drown us all like kittens in a bag for filthy lucre. A few will pipe up for saving kids in gun-free Lebensborn schools from being gunned down by well-meaning school chums who take the virtues of the initiation of deadly force a bit too far. These conflicting world-views are painfully clear to libertarians, who have no investment in either collection of fantastic mythologies and superstitions.
But to the men behind the curtains in all those parties–persons conversant with the equations formulated by James Clerk Maxwell during the Civil War, and who understand the meaning of such physical arcana as force, erg, joule, energy, work and Watt–the only thing at issue was whether the generation of electricity in These States would remain legal or be banned.
So why bother arguing with dupes who can’t grasp the fundamentals required for an understanding of the facts of reality? Far easier to send them scurrying this way and that, yipping and yelping about carefully planted red herrings and non-sequiturs that have nothing to do with the real issue.*
Republican dupes will yelp about the race suicide danger of Mohammedans reproducing faster than Christians, or the Kristallnacht gun laws them “liberals” (by which they mean commie atheists) are fixing to pass once the Second Amendment is repealed. Democratic dupes will at the same time rally their faithful against the imminent rewriting of the 14th Amendment to read “All Ova fertilized…” that Hitler-worshipping Christian National Socialists are plotting in their klaverns and bunkers. The peaks and troughs cancel out, much like the Fenton Silencer in the Arthur C. Clarke story, and generators pour forth electricity.
And so it is that while yellow journalists for both versions of the United States of Paranoia scurry to and fro with their frothings, the South Texas Nuclear Project just south of Houston will continue to light up city after city as more reactors are added online. Even Bernie supporters up north can flip on their Macs thanks to the CANDU reactors piping electricity out of godless, feminist Canada to the northeastern People’s States.
But to whom will the torch of science, political economy and engineering be passed as ‘Murrican mystical superstition is gradually replaced–not by skeptical Los Alamos physics and math–but by European looter groupthink and State-mandated pseudoscience?

Over 30,000 degreed scientists signed the Petition Project successfully urging the Senate to reject the Kyoto Protocol. Yet politicians too ignorant to integrate by parts or even differentiate a simple constant apply religious tests for office.
Arrayed against the 30,000 is the self-styled “Consensus” of unlisted looter scientists. The Consensus claim amounts to unquestionable religious belief impersonating science in the name of Ochlocracy panic. Anonymous sockpuppets haunt internet videos, heaping shrieks and abuse upon “deniers.” But just how many of these Affirmers preach the Revealed Word of the Consensus to the faithful?
In Legates et al. (2013), Watts Up With That revealed that only 41, or 0.3%, of 11,944 learned papers on climate and related topics published in the journals over the 21 years 1991-2011 flatly stated that recent global warming was mostly manmade. (This was itself premised on the existence and measurability of half a degree’s difference).
Let’s assume there were three authors prophets per paper. That would give us, um, 123 is to 30,000 as x is to 100… 0.41%. So 0.41% of so-called climate scientists set up a caterwauling din over how–because of electricity–the world is a rotisserie. THAT is a Consensus?! Furthermore, the comparison with the Petition Project is assuming the illustrious Cassandras have actually earned a Bachelor of Science degree in ANY field of science. One half-wit for every 100 researchers producing papers is several cards shy of a full deck.
I’m gonna have to go with the Petition Project on this one. Indeed there is healthy competition springing up in this business of scientists and educated laymen petitioning Congress on behalf of empowering humanity through access to energy. The Center for Industrial Progress has its own petition to lawmakers. The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels is shaping up as a nice companion volume to Dr Petr Beckmann’s The Health Hazards of NOT Going Nuclear.
It was Petr Beckmann who convinced me that the Libertarian Party was a worthwhile effort, and not a collection of mad anarchists.

The same “Our Only Hope” wrapper was stretched over the Nuclear Freeze, SALT talks and unilateral surrender in the 1980s. Today it is Global Warming that demands political coercion as Our Only Hope.
German Christians in 1933 feared commie atheists would gun down their priests and pastors. This exact propaganda was handed to me in a Catholic school when I was eight years old–complete with ink drawings of KGB agents machine-gunning hapless priests. This is the image Trump’s persuasion seeks to trigger by hollering “Nazi.”
Hitler’s party promised Germans Socialism with Christianity preserved intact, as in the altruistic Sermon on the Mount or Bellamy’s “Equality.” Radiovangelists shouted Hitler’s virtues to the heavens over subsidized Volksempfänger radios. Germans wanted to be controlled by initiation of force, but with a white, Aryan Jesus guiding the procession. Donald Trump is the tool chosen by powerful factions to push a similar agenda. Instead of Big Pharma making and exporting drugs, These States are a Big Police State looting and reselling them domestically. The money is the same, and free of taxes.
Now that anyone can read Nationalsocialist writings and see the ominous parallels with American televangelism AND socialism in general, the Republican Party is hard-pressed to hold together its United Front for government jobs and funding. The anti-choice threat to defect to the Tea Party and enlarge its spoiler vote count is not a bluff, hence the popularity of coathanger abortions for Jezebels as public health policy. Yes the international socialists will exploit these similarities while pretending there is a real difference among communo-fascist variants of socialism. Of course Trump will try to distance his party from Hitler’s.
But both looter parties offer us failure: the GOP sells a prohibitionist fascist dictatorship and economic collapse through asset-forfeiture looting, but with legalized energy. The Dems are also pushing that Olde-Tyme collectivized socialism of the Traveller from Altruria, with confiscations, prohibition, crowded prisons… Dems never offered to repeal abortion laws as in Canada, nor repeal pot prohibition. Both parties guarantee continued US involvement in religious wars and terrorism. Only the Libertarian party upholds freedom as opposed to coercion, and has enough spoiler vote clout to repeal bad laws. Our peaceful platform is 13 times smaller than theirs. Neville Chamberlain gave Europe a good lesson on the futility of Utilitarianism. But wait a minute… Isn’t Utilitarianism a good thing? The Utilitarian Monster lives in a Gedankenexperiment in which an evil monster in, say, a Zeppelin, arrives at the city gate and demands the sacrifice of one individual or else the entire town will be bombed. The City Fathers vote to sacrifice you, dear reader–BECAUSE THEY LOVE YOU! Yes, true Christian sacrifice is the surrender of that which you value more in exchange for what you value less. If they valued your egotistical selfishness, they would never have surrendered you. It is precisely because altruistic collectivism says you are innocent and good that your life gets crushed. Cowardice is preserved, and everyone is happy–happy, that is, until the Utilitarian Monster returns the following day with the same ultimatum. Yes, this is headed in the same direction as those chapters on sequences and series in math class… Everyone in a utilitarian village can be wiped out, one at a time, by bluffing.
But to Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, mathematics was just theory. Peace was the important thing and sacrifice by appeasement was what everyone–the teachers, reverend clergy, government school philosophy and ethics teachers, Adolf Hitler–all said was good, right, socially benevolent. The ethics was settled, and it was time to put it into practice. Unfortunately, the Czechoslovakians were the ones being pushed onto the altar of altruism and sacrifice, and the experiment was real, not Gedanken.
Not everyone agreed with Hitler, of course. The one person who had the guts to speak out against the cowardly monstrosity–against the cringing sanction of the next victim–was a young woman born in 1909 who worked in Hollywood. Her name was Carmen Miranda and she wrote a samba describing Europe’s capitulation to militant German National Socialist religious conservatism. The 1938 samba is titled “Salada Mista.”
Conservatives hate Carmen Miranda and Mae West for pretty much the same reason. Conservative ideology hates freedom and worships superstition and coercion.
