Refugees from Venezuela

Fleeing into Brazil

Venezuelans flee international socialism

Fifty Venezuelan refugees have left Boa Vista in the Brazilian border state of Roraima enroute to the nation’s capital in Brasília as part of official admission procedures. This was on Tuesday, July 24.

An Air Force plane carried the migrants to the capital. Of the fifty, 13 are youths and seven infants. There is no mention of babies being jerked out of their mothers’ arms.  Venezuelans are pouring into Brazil much the way Russian Jews poured into These United States at about the time Ayn Rand was born.

In 1972, hundreds of Argentine youths voted with their feet to show they preferred Brazil’s US-backed dictatorship over the junta running Argentina at the time. I personally visited Buenos Aires and was impressed that every bookstore was packed to the ceiling with calculus textbooks and books on “Peronismo.” Only much later did it occur to me that these were the leftover books nobody would buy.

Nobody protests these refugees, and some commenters are glad to admit individualists fleeing parasitism. Then again, the religious nationalsocialist wing of the cleptocracy wants to build internment camps… Unfortunately, the courts only allow communist and fascist parties to operate in Brazil. These looters thrive on campaign subsidies patterned after those signed into law by Richard Nixon in 1971.

Voting for senile political parties in America has these sorts of repercussions abroad. Most Latin American countries import our worst errors, then send men with guns out to bully women, rob people over plant leaves, and generally behave like bandits. By voting Libertarian you demonstrate unequivocally a preference for economy instead of coercion. Your example then crosses many borders to inspire voters like yourself all over the world.
