Spoiler Votes Change Laws

Turning the tables, 2 can play

Freedmen after the 13th & 14th Amendments

Conservatives are good at pointing to Friedman’s Free to Choose and arguing that Their Dark Side is the only way to vote. But that same book shows the Socialist Party platform and flatly asserts that every plank has become as legally binding as a hangman’s noose. So… how dat happen?

And how did beer get to be a felony worth 5 years on a chain gang and a fine worth 30 pounds of gold in 1929? All the Prohibitionists, Populists and Socialists ever did was lose every important election. Could it be that their average 1.5% of the vote ushered in the income tax, prohibition amendment 5 & 10 Law, Crash and Depression?

Ask any antichoice prohibitionist Republican and the answer is a mixture of feigned incomprehension and blustering evasion. But the Republican party became what it is by absorbing George Wallace’s race-baiting National Socialist Dixiecrat platform just as the Dems absorbed first the People’s Party (1892) then the Green Party (2000) looter platform planks. Compare the GOP with these American Independent Party planks:

  • God-given gifts
“The American Independent Party gratefully acknowledges God as the Creator of all and appeals to Him for help in protecting all He has graciously given us.” (See Prohibition Party platforms)
  • Right of association
“The right to associate includes the right to choose one’s associates, but does not include the right to force others to associate.” (No black people need apply)
  • Freedom from liberal government
“Freed from the lawless oppression of Liberal rule, we may then compassionately and justly use our energy and ingenuity to provide for ourselves and our families.” (Liberal Party of 1930 wrote Prohibition repeal plank)
  • Life and family
“We believe in protecting all human life however weak, defenseless, or disheartened; we endorse the family as the essential bulwark of liberty, compassion, responsibility, and industry; and declare the family’s right and responsibility to nurture, discipline, and educate its children.” (Arrest birth control doctors)
  • Marriage
“We insist that marriage is between a man and a woman and assert the role of the law in establishing and reinforcing the mutual rights and obligations of that God-ordained contract.” (George Bush)
  • Illegal immigration
“We oppose all illegal immigration. We support secure borders and immigration policies, inviting the best of the world to join us in freedom.” (Grenzbefestigungssystem)
  • Pro-life Constitution
“The Republic established by our Constitution is the greatest of all pro-life institutions.” (barefoot and pregnant)
  • Public service
“We believe that all those who govern are the servants of God for the good of citizens.” (Gemeinnutz vor Eigennutz, Gott Mit Uns)

These planks turned the low-tariff Democratic Solid South into a racial-collectivist appendage of God’s Own Prohibitionists. The process began in 1928, to defeat wet Democratic candidate Al Smith, who wanted beer to be safe and legal. Burning crosses were lit wherever “Whiskey Al” campaigned that year.

Independence under Prohibitionists, July 4

pre-libertarian repeal

Chicago Tribune, 5 July 1931. The top step says Less Graft

1931 was the year the Liberal Party published its platform rejecting socialism, welfare and the dole and calling for repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment and all Blue Laws. This pre-libertarian party’s platform provided the framework for the repeal plank that got Democrats elected five times running.

The cartoon was published 86 make that 88 years ago, but only 41 years before the libertarian party formed. Because they themselves lacked the courage to stand up to the Klan and other empires of murderous mysticsm, Republicans in 1932 began pronouncing “liberal” the way German National Socialists pronounced it–expectorated with a hiss, the way they pronounced “Jew.” Conservatives do this today. Democrats were beset by the pro-choice, antiwar Human Rights Party and Buffalo Party, and treacherously crushed both before the Libertarian Party was organized in 1971.

It’s a pity the Democratic Party platform committee has been entirely taken over by ecological national socialists. Those worthies are far more preoccupied with an Aryan model of purity; not Aryan purity, mind you, but environmental purity with transfer payments from producers to non-producers. The Liberal Party was not collectivist and eschewed coercive solutions. They also helped lead America out of the Republican-induced Depression.

Prohibition and The Crash explains the causal connections between asset-forfeiture prohibitionism and economic collapse. Live in July 2019 on Amazon Kindle for the average cost of a pint of craft beer. Read it on your phone or tablet.

Ethics for Translators

The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band

A Child’s Guide to Good and Evil, recommended, from Amazon

This 1998 relic is as good as any code of ethics I’ve ever seen. Indeed, ethics itself does not vary among professions. Right and wrong are fairly simple, as generalities go.

CODE OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICES

Competent Translators agree:

1. To translate with the greatest fidelity and accuracy we can command, endeavoring always to give the readers and audiences the impression they would have if they could understand the original.

2. To maintain professional discretion by respecting our clients’ rights, by divulging no confidential information we may have acquired in our professional capacity under nondisclosure agreements, and by refusing assignments we believe would violate contractual rights of third parties.

3. To turn down assignments for which we believe ourselves to be less than qualified in either language or understanding of the subject, except with the prior knowledge of clients or employers; and to turn down assignments that we believe we cannot properly complete within the time allowed.

4. To settle professional differences by arbitration whenever possible, and to seek and accept work only on virtuous or honorable terms.

5. To defend all individual rights of translators, including their right to exercise the profession freely, unvexed by coercive restrictions.

This part about coercive restrictions is apropos in view of current hubris in the ATA Chronicle, published by the American Translators Association (May-June 2019 p. 2). The current ATA was assimilated in the 1990s by the American Society of Association Executives through voter suppression, and revamped so that anyone joining could vote on policy. Before, as of 1981, only those able to pass a translation test could vote or run for office. Since the change, the association has morphed into an expensive lobby for barriers to entry into the profession.

Most vocal among those lately importuning the Texas Legislature to keep interpreters scarce and expensive are folks who have never passed an ATA translation test. Nor have the bulk of them passed a Texas court interpreter test. A large number of incumbents, myself included, were for the longest time “grandfathered” in on what amounts to a bribes-for-work-permits racket, but even that was a farce disguised by tortuous legalese. That law stopped nobody from interpreting in the courts.

Many grandfathered incumbents for over a decade lied about the nature of the law. Those worthies told newcomers the law required them to buy the license in order to interpret in court. In fact, the original Texas law existed only as a pretext, making it easier to dismiss an obviously incompetent impostor during proceedings. It was only repealed after the truth was broadcast, then replaced with an even worse law.

Similar rackets sought in the past to prevent Texas roofers from bidding against corporations. Those were repealed. Spurious and parasitic extortion rackets organize, under color of altruism, to erect barriers to keep young interpreters from working in the courts–except as disposable contract labor on behalf of companies with political pull.

The whole point of ethics–a code to guide your choices and actions–is to thwart such impairment of individual rights.

Herbert Hoover, Free-Market Individualist?

Herbert Hoover Public papers 1930, p. 89

How many times have you been urged to believe that President Herbert Hoover was a capitalist opposed to communo-fascist collectivism? Hoover himself, defeated in 1932 and unhorsed in 1933, characterized FDR policies as fascist regimentation. He should know:

Hoover’s 1931 Moratorium on Brains gave the National Socialist Party the needed boost to win in 1932. Both altruists opposed individual rights.

The motto of Hitler’s party was “The Common Good Before the Individual Good.”

See how all of this arose in the context of Prohibition and The Crash in Amazon Kindle format. Did Republican dry fanaticism wreck the economy?

Privatized Border Protection

KAGA hats on sale soon!

Is this privately-funded Wall worth 270 electoral votes?

The city of Sunland Park, New Mexico, is OK with privately-funded border protection moving ahead with a chunk of “KEEP America Great Again” border wall. You’d expect Reason, a soi-disant Libertarian magazine, to cover the event with confetti and fanfare. But nooooo…

Wall of Asgard?

Unmentionable Pakistani-Indian border wall, now with laser sensing added…

Not even a Shikha Damia article tsk-tsking the altitude of privately-funded consciousness has appeared! To Shikha, the Pakistan-India border fence is an Orwellian unmentionable, and any hesitation in letting a locust swarm of superstitious starvelings waltz across OUR line in the sand without inspection borders on racism. No Radley Balko article is yet imported from the looter press, to push uninspected entry as a crime-reduction strategy. Elbowing past the deafeningly silent property and privacy enthusiasts at Reason came none other than the Public Brainwashing System with a sullenly objective account of events.

What gives?

Come to think of it, Irish voters in a 2-to-1 landslide repealed a republican-style constitutional amendment forcing women to reproduce by involuntary labor A YEAR AGO. Americans took 14 years and 7 months to repeal national liquor prohibition with platform help from the Liberal Party and women’s organizations. The Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision was drafted by the Libertarian Platform Committee in mid-1972. We won fewer than 4000 votes (one of them a faithful electoral vote) that November, yet 45 days later our plank showed up (with an extra week of individual rights tacked on) in a Majority Report assuring individual rights for women even if pregnant!

Roe v. Wade was like the Moon landing, a milestone event that put America ahead of Europe and Russia, and paved the way for Canada’s abolition of all abortion laws. Goaded by backlash from Republican conservatives and the Emerald Isle’s own papal pederasts, Irish politicians passed a constitutional birth control prohibition amendment in reaction to the Libertarian victory over Comstock and Dixiecrat jurisprudence.

For 35 years Irish women labored, oppressed by the social pressures of silence and stigma (not to mention policemen, bailiffs and wardens with guns). With repeal finally secured, Republican fascisti weep, Fabian socialists rejoice and claim credit, and Reason magazine–like a True Believer–runs Stephanie Slade hagiographies and teevee panegyrics pushing Catholic dogma as the One True libertarianism. Other than Tuccille, nobody at Reason betrays awareness of the democratic emancipation of Irish women–45 years after the Libertarian Party handed a similar victory to American women and to men who believe even female individuals have rights.

Republicans are doubtless building their Wall–NOT to again (as during our invasion of Mexico, WWI & WW2) stop bandits, spies and undesirables from sneaking across. More likely it is meant to exclude morning-after pills along with all things enjoyable. Nevertheless, Reason’s betrayal of clear jurisdictional boundaries has not yet stopped looter intellectuals from lumping us together with conservative national socialists. Recent LP platforms abetting national socialist coercion of pregnant women under color of fiscal conservatism has resulted in women crossing the street to avoid us!

Still, Reason downplays our 1972 plank, avoids dissecting the antiabortion amendments Dixiecrat Republicans endlessly crank out, elides any reference to Libertarian Party impact on Roe v Wade, and has yet to notice the smiles on women’s faces in Ireland.

The haunting fear that someone might be happy

Read ’em and weep, Lebensborn legislators!

Irish women sure as hell notice. While their eyes are smiling, let’s hope they soon forget libertarian impersonators whose counterfeit platform tried to convince voters that restoring women’s individual rights would be evil, wrong, socially dangerous. If you can find that Irish “libertarian” platform plank, please send me a copy for my Hall of Horrors. I need impostors to bet money no such planks were published, and will use my winnings to pay for the proof.

Patriot Act, 1913

First the Balkans, now U.S.-occupied Afghanistan!

See the original article…

Remember Serbia? It was Servia back when communist youths shot European politicians practically every month before World War One. But war in the Balkans did not begin in 1914. Only when China overthrew its imperial government in 1911 and halted British and German dumping of narcotics did the price glut destabilize prices, then politics, in that opium-farming region. That particular outbreak of European opium wars began in 1911. Newspapers at the time juxtaposed related articles and let readers draw their own correlations and conclusions.

Prohibition linked to War

Decriminalization instead of legalization circumvents government dependence on addictive dope

Here is a sample of an Enabling Act or Patriot Act enacted by the Serbian government. This was over a year before another communist youth shot yet another feather-bedecked Germanic militarist as ratifying signatures slowly accumulated on the Hague anti-opium convention.

Article 1. The police authorities are authorized, in case of a deficiency in the regular organization for securing the liberty and security of persons and property, to ask military commander for the troops necessary for the maintenance of order and tranquillity. The military commander is bound to comply immediately with these demands, and the police is bound to inform the Minister of the Interior of them.

Article 2. Any attempt at rebellion against the public powers is punishable by five years’ penal servitude.

The decision of the police authorities, published in the respective communes, is proof of the commission of crime.

If the rebel refuses to give himself up as prisoner within ten days from such publication, he may be put to death by any public or military officer.

Article 3. Any person accused of rebellion in terms of the police decision and who commits any crime shall be punished with death.
If the accused person himself gives himself up as a prisoner into the hands of authorities, the death penalty shall be commuted to penal servitude for ten or years, always provided that the commutation is approved by the tribunal.

Article 4. Where several cases of rebellion occur in a commune and the rebels do not return to their homes within ten days from the police notice, the authorities have the right of deporting their families whithersoever they may find convenient.
Likewise the inhabitants of the houses in which armed persons or criminals in general are found concealed, shall be deported.
The heads of the police shall transmit to the Prefecture a report on the deportation procedure, which is to be put in force immediately.
The Minister of the Interior shall, if he think desirable, rescind deportation measures.

Article 5. Any person deported by an order of the Prefecture who shall return to original domicile without the authorization of the Minister of the Interior shall be punished by three years’ imprisonment.

Article 6. If in any commune or any canton the maintenance of security demands the sending of troops, the maintenance of the latter shall be charged to the commune or the canton. In such a case the Prefect is to be notified.
If order is restored after a brief interval and the culprits taken, the Minister of the Interior may refund such expenses to the canton or the commune.
The Minister may act in this way as often as he may think desirable.

Article 7. Any person found carrying arms who has not in his possession a from the police or from the Prefect, or who shall hide arms in his house or elsewhere shall be condemned to a penalty varying from three months’ imprisonment to five years’ penal servitude.
Anyone selling arms or ammunition without a police permit shall be liable to the same penalty.

… and so on for another two pages. The lesson here is that economic dislocation–such as resulted from the George Bush Jr. asset-forfeiture crash or the religious terrorism the Bush Dynasty invited by the entangling shelling and bombing former Ottoman territory–results in even grosser initiation of force in a mystically mixed economy.

The initiation of harmful and deadly force sets in motion a feedback loop with forced oscillations. Voting Libertarian is the only effective way to counter these buildups, as the Kleptocracy parties are well aware. Why? Because LP.org candidates and partisans oppose the initiation of force for political or social reasons. No initiation of force means there is no pretext for violent retaliation.

Another death sentence Queenpin?

Release murderers to make room!

Victimless crime laws destroy human life

George Holy War Bush urged the death sentence for plant products, and Cartoonist Scott Adams is also on that bandwagon. Yet whenever the opportunity arises–with, say, a non-minority teenager–these manly champions of get-tough prohibitionism develop blind spots, incessant dinning and hysteria by media corporations and Satan-scolders notwithstanding. What’s the deal?

Texas has prison time and asset-forfeiture penalties for plant ROOTS and seeds on its law books. Yet when a white DEA agent’s lovely daughter turned up influenced into that agency’s extracurricular practices, that’s different. The 2015 case is mired in obfuscation and drags on–hopefully until you vote libertarian and give politicians good reason to focus on repealing cruel laws instead of bullying girls.

A gang of documendacity experts called Sixty Minutes does character assassination jobs. The most memorable was a smear attack on Illinois Power’s Clinton reactor project. The utility company videotaped the media fakes and released its own documentary exposing deliberate falsehood on the part of ABC’s media outfit. H.L. Deakins, at Public Affairs, Illinois Power Co., 500 S.27th Street, Decatur, IL 62525, used to mail out transcripts and supply videotapes of the exposé–back in 1980, when utility companies had guts. 60 Minutes hasn’t changed.

A documendacity spawn of the same name in Australia has settled on a victim WAY less able to retaliate via pistol-packing daddy-with-badge. The dupes who watch this stuff are induced to drool over the mistreatment of a blonde youngster duped into handling relatively harmless (compared to tobacco) plant leaf products. Does 60 minutes stand up for rights and against pseudoscience? Not a chance! Victimless crimes are hinted at with appallingly feigned seriousness on the part of the media presstitute. A Latin American democracia infiltrated by the U.S. asset-forfeiture cartel meanwhile chortles over a captured sacrificial victim worthy of a role in Aldous Huxley’s The Devils of Loudon.

This is today’s global warming media, graduating from creating a health hazard by obstructing access to energy to fashionably fanning hysteria about another scapegoat of prohibitionist superstition. Pseudoscience hobgoblins invented in America and exported to Colombia are props in a deadly media circus. If the fake media’s karma turns out to be pitiless in its retribution, schadenfreude!

Dupes who vote to retain corrupt soft machines need to reflect on the human cost of pseudoscience and the initiation of force. Ask yourself: Am I proud of having wasted the chance to cast a law-changing spoiler vote for freedom?
