Bust Beer Buyers 1929

The folly of fanaticism with guns

Shocking even to fanatics!

Ninety years ago this month Senator Morris Sheppard of fanatically dry Texas designed a law to make buying a beer a felony under the Volstead and Five and Ten laws. This is the politician who wrote the 18th amendment and pushed it with blind disregard for what criminalizing a popular commodity might again do to the U.S. economy. This p 2 Chicago Tribune clipping for October 13, 1929 saw daylight 11 days before Black Thursday.

Dr Arthur J Barton, chairman of the national executive committee of the anti-saloon league of America, tonight said he doubted the constitutionality of Senator Morris Sheppard’s proposed amendment to the prohibition law, which would make the purchaser of intoxicating liquors equally guilty with the seller.
Dr Barton said: “I do not know of any general demand among the dry organizations and leaders for such an amendment. I doubt whether such an amendment would be constitutional, and I fear that the introduction of the amendment at the present time is untimely and unfortunate.”
Dr Barton said it was his opinion that convictions under the proposed amendment would be impossible to obtain.
“A fundamental principle and a specific provision of the constitution of the United States is that no man can be forced to testify when his testimony would incriminate himself,” he said.

Asset forfeiture story same page. The U.S. Treasury gleefully confiscated and sold off automobiles found with any amount of beer or liquor, with no regard for the companies financing the sale of the cars. George Bush Jr’s faith-based fanatics did the same thing with houses in 2006 and 2007, leaving the homebuyer with no place to live and a mortgage bill to pay off. Neither Herbert Hoover nor Waffen Bush had any clue how much money their prohibitionist looting would cause to vanish from the fractional-reserve banks and brokerage firms.

Enforcement murderers protected by law, same page. Senator Millard Tydings accused the feds of covering up 51 murders committed by dry killers during violent prohibition enforcement.  This is the same sort of thing practiced today on account of enjoyable plant leaves, and the amount of money involved is likely to be a neat fraction of the Gross National Product. But just as there was a Liberal Party in 1930, there is a Libertarian Party in 2019. Our repeal plank sends a loud and unmistakable message to Washington

Tarbrushing the LP.org

Bottom right corner: party stresses what could be termed… anarchy.

With friends like The Cavalier Daily, who needs the Nixon anti-Libertarian Law? Here is the typical looter media coverage once Nixon’s party began handing out baskets of money for smearing the LP. Abortion (which our platform legalized), and ride-sharing (before Lyft or Uber even existed), and marijuana relegalization–are all there… plus the obligatory tarbrush association with bomb-throwing communist anarchists. Here is a typical communist anarchist–what Republicans want you to think of when you hear “Libertarian”.

Keep repeating it. --Josef Goebbels

Keep repeating it. –Josef Goebbels

Democrats, which now include the CPUSA by its own proclamation, want you to think fascist Republican when you hear the word Libertarian. Both these parties have infiltrated the LP and added idiotic nonsense to our platforms, and by elision made the 2016 Migration plank into a liability.

Observe in the article MacBride’s reference to rideshare services 33 years before Uber or Lyft even existed. Republicans–for whom asset-forfeiture confiscation of cars, coupled with legal fees and fines are a source of income–do not want you thinking about how Libertarians advocated the concept of voluntary rideshare technology as a way for peoples to move past the G.O.Police state. I’m eager to bet money that no republican or democratic candidate will mention that on camera or in writing.

Nor will you find republicans or democrats pressing forth with convincing pitches that Prohibition making beer a black felony on March 2 1929 had nothing to do with the Crash and the Great Depression. Supreme court job safety valve

lpinfiltrator92

Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert!

Whose job safety does the Supreme Court look out for? Why… that of both of the entrenched parties that nominate, confirm and pay them–who else?

The US Constitution establishes a Supreme Court, but says nothing about political parties. Only the ratification of the communist manifesto income tax plank made it possible for Richard Nixon’s Kleptocracy–from “both sides” of the aisle–to add federal subsidies for entrenched parties to the IRS Code. This he did within 24 hours of the Libertarian Party’s organization. Both Kleptocracy parties are loose agglomerations of mystical and racial collectivists.  Each bunch is hypnotized in the belief that they themselves benefit from the hiring of “our” rotten cur of a politician instead of “that other” lying bastard. The multiplier effect that imparts law-changing clout to smaller third parties is thus completely eclipsed by the stereophonic frenzied rage whipped up by media outlets on the IRS payroll since 1971.

But what happens when a third party emerges, its candidates seeking a clear mandate to vote for freedom as opposed to coercion if elected? The Richard Nixon solution–using the Internal Revenue Service code make transfer payments from your earnings to subsidize the Republican and Democratic soft machines–is not enough. The major parties, like the dupes that elect them, need to be protected from themselves.

The Republican Party, rebuked by wet voters in Great Depression 1932, converted to the Positive Christianity of German National Socialism even as the Dems succumbed once more to the seduction of a slightly different brand of populist collectivism. These are the political ideologies that populate the Supreme Court today. The Supreme Court protects both of the hands that feed it. Even when it appears to be biting one hand or the other, is it in fact preventing some insane faction from again capsizing half of the Kleptocracy from within and opening the door to regime change. There are plenty of examples of this.

When formation of the Libertarian Party with an anti-draft plank threatened the looter entente, the military draft–which the Supreme Court had exempted from the Thirteenth Amendment–was temporarily shifted to a back burner with no further help from the court. But when pro-choice libertarian partisans frightened mystical prohibitionists with possible voter defection, the Supreme Court legalized women’s rights, its vorpal sword striking down State laws that bullied pregnant women. Thus the balance of power within the Kleptocracy was preserved snicker-snack by Court intervention preventing the suicide of its more mystical wing. That mystical wing promptly proceeded toward similar avenues of self-defenestration.

A similar Machiavellian calculus led to the court decision banning the judicial baiting of same-sex couples by those same mystical zealots. The Court’s decision enabled a much-relieved GOP to spread its arms and assure the faithful that its “hands are tied” in time for the 2016 election campaign. The rolling of queers (except where justifiable for asset forfeiture), alas, had to be tearfully deleted from the GOP agenda, and with it (they hope) any incentive for voting for the Libertarian party–whose platform made the decision inevitable.

The important thing to observe here is that the Supreme Court leapt in to force “both” parties to abide by its decision rather than stand at loggerheads and allow non-Kleptocracy candidates pull away spoiler votes.  The last time a genuine third party managed to get some of its own into Congress, in 1892, those infiltrators transformed their entire agenda–Communist Manifesto Plank Two–into federal law and secured absolute control over the Democratic Party for decades.

Another judicial rescue mission occurred in the 1960s. The Court forced ku-klux southerners to stop intimidating and barring black and tan voters, cafeteria customers and schoolchildren. Those decisions allowed the southern Democratic party to assure Grand Goblins of its sympathy, but spread its arms in helplessness because its “hands are tied.”

The jobs-getting success of the Democratic party relies on simultaneously convincing women and gays that it (and not the LP.org) was instrumental in protecting their individual rights from the National Socialists who still write the platform for God’s Own Prohibitionists. The Libertarian Party is running on the record of political change brought about by the spoiler votes cast in support of its platform.

If this helped you better understand Court decisions against the background of realpolitik as she is, think of how much clearer your depositions can sound, or your contracts can read in translation.

Death to Kingpins

God’s Own Prohibitionists want the death sentence for enjoyable drug kingpins…
queenpin15

Just not THIS one.

“And for the drug kingpins: the death penalty.” These are the words of the president–not of some South American military junta–but of  the United States of America on September 5, 1989. Isolated incident? GOP president George Holy War Bush made similar declarations on nearly half a dozen occasions, all recorded in his Presidential Papers. But similar assertions were made my President Clinton October 6, 1996, on September 16 & 24th and bragging November 2, and other occasions. Not to be outdone, George Waffen Bush declared in favor of extermination camp treatment–not only for hemp kingpins–but also for cop-killers other than himself. **

This junior George also repeated the error committed by fellow Republican prohibitionist Herbert Clark Hoover in 1933. He declared asset-forfeiture open season on anything that could be confiscated, so long as someone with a badge and a gun imagined “in good faith” he could get away with it. Herbert Hoover’s use of taxes for enforcement shut down every bank in America before he left office. Congress, Bush Daddy & Reagan wrecked the economy the same way in 1987-92. The George Waffen Bush version of the fiasco in 2007 coincided with subprime mortgage rate resets on a large fraction of homes police were avidly confiscating because someone “thought he smelled grass.”

The Obama administration resorted to having Hillary Clinton export Anti-Money “Laundering” legislation through the United Nations. Throwing other nations under the bus that way made it possible for American traders to short their currency and securities as soon as those countries’ economies collapsed under the weight of FATF, AML, TF, CFT, DNFBP, IRS-CID, INL, ICRG, GIABA, GAFISUD, FSRB, FIU, FinCEN, EAG and GPML “mentors” telling foreign politicos what sort of prohibitionist and anti-“laundering” laws to pass. The resulting Survive and Thrive Insider trading–like selling enjoyable drugs–worked like a charm for anyone who is above the law. Bush Jr, Hillary and Timothy Geithner all qualify. Whether the 19-year old daughter of a DEA agent–a sweet child who violated no individual rights whatsoever–also qualifies for exemption from idiotic federal and Texas laws depends, in part, on WHAT you vote for: life and production? or death and taxes?

If you think this delightful child should be murdered for peaceful, rights-respecting, consensual enjoyment, then by all means vote for the Republican Party or Democratic Party prohibitionists. Just don’t act surprised when the Thought Police turn up on your doorstep. To free the girl, expunge the record and clear her name, vote for the Libertarian Party candidate nearest you. This benevolent act will also reduce the likelihood of another financial collapse.

**By militarizing and then bribing all police with asset forfeiture loot and impunity George Waffen Bush made America’s police forces into Public Enemies. Bush, through victimless “crime” demonization is ultimately the man responsible for prohibition killings and in retaliation many a policeman murdered in America today. The Bush dynasty is responsible for the unemployment and financial depression that ALWAYS follows turning tax laws into mohammedan-style instruments of religious enforcement, as in 1987 and 2008.

*** In April 2019 Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams declared in favor of the death sentence for enjoyable drug kingpins and queenpins. This appeared in his Periscope blog, and may eventually be taken down for deniability purposes.

Then and now, asset forfeiture crashes

1987DJIAAccording to Ronald Reagan, on Thursday, September 11, 1986, lunch with VP George H.W. Bush was followed by a lengthy cabinet meeting over proposed prohibitionist legislation.

Those were the heady days of “Just Say No,” when the Soviet Union was going broke and the Reagan administration was looking for ways to cut off all sources of income for the communist empire. The 9/11 drug bill in question contained items like using the military to invade other countries to enforce prohibition, an extra hundred million dollars to hire a drug army, Federal funds for state prisons, and “introduction of illegally obtained evidence at criminal trials in cases where a police officer acting in good faith makes an error in a warrantless search situation” … “forfeiture of substitute assets“,  “drug tests for all U.S. government employees in “sensitive” positions” and so on.  Reagan signed the resulting bill and called it a “National Crusade.” The way these laws are written, they only take effect a year after they are signed. You wouldn’t want cause and effect close enough together to draw attention to the financial charts.

1932banksuspensionsThe same sort of thing had been happening 55 years earlier, Herbert Hoover was president, beer was a major felony, several large banks in New York City had been involved in financing illegal alcohol and drugs, and Ronald Reagan had just turned 20.

President Wilson’s son-in-law, William McAdoo, suggested that Congress pass a law confiscating all money owned by drug and alcohol operators. Pres. Hoover had already more than doubled the number of convicts in prison for victimless crimes. Money the government didn’t have was being appropriated for building new prisons and hiring hordes of agents an prosecutors.

In June 1932 the Senate passed the revenue act containing the asset forfeiture provisions, along with major tax hikes. Hoover lost the election in November, but would still be president until March 4, 1933. In the meantime banks for closing right and left because citizens, fearful of asset forfeiture confiscations, we’re removing all of their deposits, thereby contracting the amount of available credit. Tax revenue fell by nearly half before anyone had ever heard of the Laffer curve. Stockbrokers were only making money by selling short. Huge bootlegging and narcotics trials of wealthy and important defendants from arrests made back in 1928-1932 were running out of delaying tactics.

GOPNSDAPFinally, on December 13, 1932, President Hoover signed executive order 5970 –Inspection of Income Tax Returns–which allowed States to look at Federal income tax forms filed by corporations within their borders.

This was done quietly, with no fanfare in the newspapers. Few even realized what had happened until Hoover’s press conference of January 20 subtly spilling the beans. This realization dawned ten days before Hitler was named Chancellor of the same German Reich Hoover had nurtured and protected by his moratorium on war debt collections (the Moratorium on Brains). The House promptly cut off all funding for wiretaps and entrapment buying. Corporations began withdrawing money from banks, and over the course of the following month every single bank in the United States shut down even before Franklin D Roosevelt was sworn in to become President for Life and declare a “holiday,” complete with fines, imprisonment and forfeiture language.

Religious conservatives have since that time pronounced the word “liberal” (in favor of repealing prohibition) the way their German counterparts pronounced the words “liberal” and “Jewish” (meaning laissez-faire).  In the rest of the English-speaking world, liberal still means the same thing that it meant–-even to religious conservatives–-in America before 1932.
