Mentation and Malingering

Positive Christianity, Altruism, Duty

Painter of churches, Jesus and Madonnas honored

We imagine we understand malingering–at least until, upon reflection, the concept turns up surprises. Feigning illness or injury to avoid physical labor is the familiar meme. But what about feigning injury, outrage, condescension, pity, insanity or disbelief in order to avoid the necessity of thinking? “That can’t be right” is a wishful reply made by many a fool whose lunch tab added up to more cash than he carried. Other instances are not so trivial.

Mental malingering is the most popular form of self-deception engaged in by altruists of both the “left” and “right.”
Those that describe themselves as “conservative” commit thought-malingering no less assiduously others who, with equal smugness, describe themselves as “left-wing.”

Take the bell in the picture. No conservative can look at it and simultaneously realize that Adolf Hitler represented most of the voters in 98% Christian Germany. Yet every religious conservative defends at least half of Hitler’s 1920 National Socialist platform. Conservatives manage this by never reading the original, and imagining in its place some egotistical writings of a socialist atheist “madman.” Germany’s mystics engaged in the same self-deception. The fairly recent hagiography movie of Sophie Scholl (of The White Rose student protest group) injected gratuitous lines to depict Positive Christian National Socialists as virtually identical to Bolshevik atheists. Even the flyers for which these students were put to death specifically referred to Christian National Socialist Policies as “atheistic.” No religious conservative–German or American–can bear to admit that Adolf Hitler ran a christian religious conservative government complete with transfer payments from producers to non-producers and eugenics policies to build the “New Race” of Herbert Hoover’s inaugural speech..

Similarly, left wing socialists, communists and anti-industrial collectivists deny that Hitler was a socialist–a fact known to everyone on the planet before 1939.  But they do join mystical conservative bretheren in denying absolutely that there is anything altruistic about the National Socialist belief in “The Common Good Before the Individual Good.”
Looters of the bureaucratic persuasion swear hotly, loudly and vehemently that every communist government was “not really” socialist. This appeal to volume or carpet-biting is another form of malingering to avoid mentation.

The common ground both altruist factions share is the proof-by-insistence that there is something good about altruism and sacrifice. But to this day none have stepped forward to explicitly state what it is. What they do agree on, as a sort of corrolary Revelation or belief, is that the initiation of force must also be defended against all comers as the end-all Final Solution to all problems real or imaginary. What is clear–especially after demonstrations at Alamogordo, Hiroshima and Nagasaki–is that unsuperstitious science has retaliatory capabilities that have made the wholesale initiation of force as suicidal as its proponents have always wished it could be.

Duterte to replace Sessions

As usual, rumors are everywhere that El Presidente is about to fire or replace someone. And yet barely two centuries ago such rumors in Europe were about a ruler preparing to burn or behead someone. That’s Progress. But Beauregard Sessions is more than a reproach. The Alabama bigot is a return to George Wallace partisans keeping “dark people” in their place–much as satirized in Mr. Dooley and George Orwell’s “Burmese Days.” So why not enlist experienced help for prohibition enforcement?

“Our number’s up.** Best thing we can do is to shut up shop and let ’em stew in their own juice,” remarked Senator Grassley (R-IA).

“I don’t agree, I simply don’t agree,” Senatrix Feinstein replied. “We could put things right in a month if we chose. It only needs a pennyworth of pluck. Look at Amritsar. Look how they caved in after that. Dyer knew the stuff to give them. Poor old Dyer! That was a dirty job. Those cowards at the UN have got something to answer for.”

There was a kind of sigh from the others, the same sigh that a gathering of Roman Catholics will give at the mention of Bloody Mary. Even Mr Trump, who detested bloodshed and martial law, shook his head at the name of Dyer.

“Ah, poor man! Sacrificed to the liberals at the UN. Well, perhaps they will discover their mistake when it is too late.” “What about this fellow Duterte? Might he be a replacement for Mr. Magoo?”

God, Government Guns & Graft

Prohibition Party bigotry still writes the platform of the Republican Party, as it has since the 1870s, to the detriment of individual rights in the State of Texas.

Satan's Burning Bush!

Kid, we don’t like your kind

America’s political equivalent of the Mohammedan Islamic State, The Prohibition Party, recognizing God as the source of all governmental authority, even today makes totalitarian declarations of principles and policies:

1. We would deploy sufficient resources to stop all illegal traffic in people and drugs across America’s land and sea borders.
2. We deplore the recent decision of the U.S. Supreme Court on same-sex marriage as an abomination to God.
3. We consider abortion to be morally repugnant.
4. We advocate… subsidies for consumers wishing to change from fossil fuels to renewable domestic sources of energy.
5. We believe that climatic change is an existential threat to civilization.
6. Beverage alcohol is America’s #1 narcotic drug problem.
7. Prohibitionists oppose the traffic in… Cannabis and so-called “hard drugs”…

Observe the disconnect between hallucinatory coercive obeisance to invisible masters and the facts of reality. When the Republicans were running Sarah Palin on a platform to use armed government agents to coerce Planned Parenthood physicians, the Prohibition party platform read: “We recognize that, according to the Constitution, ‘no person’ (including those unborn) ‘shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law.’”

The Fourteenth Amendment of 1868 begins with: Section 1. All persons born… The Amendment was passed under a Republican Administration elected when many Democratic states were under military occupation, and the Republican party claimed 63% of the electoral votes. Prohibitionists contradict their own puppet régime out of zeal to coerce women.

Yet when Palin was candidate in 2008–seven years after Saudi religious fanatics attacked civilian skyscrapers and retaliated against the military-industrial complex on U.S. soil–the God’s authority party also declared: We favor continued prohibition of such harmful drugs as heroin, LSD, cocaine, and marijuana. The Stockholm Syndrome has never been more glaringly evident than in this dedication to violent, faith-based policies.

Now compare the Libertarian Party platform. Our 1972 abortion plank became Roe v. Wade and sparked the lighting of crosses by enraged prohibitionists. On immigration, Libertarians are not keen to import dangerous mystical fanatics nor prop up fanatical dictatorships whose prohibitionist coercion cause violence, collapse and fleeing refugees.

Libertarians have no interest in coercing or alienating gays, or countenancing superstitious opprobrium directed at women who practice birth control on a crowded planet. Nor do most Libertarians, many with training in science and math, perceive clear evidence for the existence of Global Warming. We advocate no fuel subsidies from producers to non-producers. Nor do we ascribe to that particular pseudoscience, or to the more ancient pseudoscientific assertions of prohibitionism, grounds for emergency police powers disruptive of the economy of a free society.

True, Prohibitionists have toned down their demands in step with Prohibition spoiler vote increases, and keep a low profile nowadays. But so does the CPUSA. Nobody who reads today’s Democratic party dogma can fail to spot its source of inspiration at CPUSA.org and European-style Green parties any more than Republican watchers can overlook the ominous parallels most boastfully set forth at Prohibitionists.org and in the National Socialist platform and in other socialist and theocratic requests for the coercion of citizens.

God’s Own Prohibitionist platform sayeth:

Republican platform, 2016: The progress made over the last three decades against drug abuse is eroding, whether for cultural reasons or for lack of national leadership. In many jurisdictions, marijuana is virtually legalized despite its illegality under federal law.

Three decades ago the Bush-Reagan Administration went postal with Just Say No shoot-first prohibitionism backed by misuse of tax laws and asset forfeiture looting. The Crash came in October of 1987, when every federal employee was forced to pee in a Dixie cup or be fired as agents fanned out to confiscate bank accounts, homes and vehicles.

New York repealed its state prohibition law in 1923, right after the economic depression that accompanied the onset of prohibition enforcement. Other states followed, alarming the Republican party, now heavily infiltrated by Prohibition Party regulars.

Republican platform, 1928: PROHIBITION: We reaffirm the American Constitutional Doctrine as announced by George Washington in his “Farewell Address,” to-wit: The Constitution which at any time exists until changed by the explicit and authentic act by the whole people is sacredly obligatory upon all. (…) The people through the method provided by the Constitution have written the Eighteenth Amendment into the Constitution. The Republican Party pledges itself and its nominees to the observance and vigorous enforcement of this provision of the Constitution. (NY World Almanac 1929 848) (Johnson and Porter 1975 288) [Nicholas Murray Butler offers repeal plank, hooted down]

Democratic platform, 1928: Law Enforcement: The Republican party, for eight years in complete control of the government at Washington, presents the remarkable spectacle of feeling compelled in its national platform to promise obedience to a provision of the federal Constitution which it has flagrantly disregarded and to apologize to the country for its failure to enforce laws enacted by the Congress of the United States. Speaking for the national Democracy, this convention pledges the party and its nominees to an honest effort to enforce the eighteenth amendment and all other provisions of the federal Constitution and all laws enacted pursuant thereto. (…) (Johnson and Porter 1975 273)

Then came ANOTHER stock market crash when Dry Hope Herbert Hoover in 1929 got rid of “dog-eat-dog” freedom and imposed “his brother’s keepers” shoot-first prohibition enforcement using tax laws and asset forfeiture looting. The banking system quickly collapsed, unemployment was everywhere, and federal agents and police murdering people were in every newspaper every day.

Prohibition party platform, 1932: We unequivocally oppose the repeal or weakening of the Eighteenth Amendment or of the laws enacted thereunder, and insist upon the strengthening of those laws. …can and will coordinate all the powers of government, Federal, State and local, strictly to enforce, by adequate and unescapable punishment of all violators, this wise and beneficent law.

Liberal party platform, 1931: PROHIBITION: We demand the immediate repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment.

Democratic platform 1932: We advocate the repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment, …

GOP platform, 1932: PROHIBITION… The Republican Party pledges itself and its nominees to the observance and vigorous enforcement of this provision of the Constitution. … We do not favor a submission limited to the issue of retention or repeal, for the American nation never in its history has gone backward, and in this case the progress which has been thus far made must be preserved, while the evils must be eliminated.

American voters won back their right to partial self-ownership by eliminating the Republican candidates. Democratic party politicians got government paychecks, bribe money and jobs for their buddies. Republican politicians were avoided for 25 years and the Prohibition party slowly withered on the vine. That is the power of noncommunist Liberal or Libertarian spoiler votes!

Nixon Subsidy Surprises Democrats

Slick Willie Clinton’s old lady broke taboo and mentioned the Libertarian Party. This in the same portion of her audiobook that talks about how surprised Democrats were over an overlooked 3% of registered voters.

But the losing party’s candidate was still clueless as to why Americans voted to keep electricity safe and legal. This was after an ordinary storm turned Puerto Rico into an unlit open sewer. The governor who handed his electors this mess is a member of the New Progressive party, an assemblage of faith-based, prohibitionists absolutely Hell-bent on sending any number of men with guns out to make sure nobody possesses the wrong kind of plant leaves. The party is absolutely opposed to any thought of decriminalizing or legalizing hemp.    But aside from equipping SWAT teams and prohibition snoopers with powerful assault weapons, the party is anti-Second Amendment, much like the 1938 German government.

Socialismo, impuertos y muerte

Progressive Party Prohibitionist

The New Progressive Energy planks are redolent with Green Energy Fund and renewable cant. A Spanish Caudillo wearing makeup advised by the Pope iv Rome is the party poster child. New Progressives despise icky fossil fuels (but press for a Gas Port, not nuclear energy). Platform energy planks go on and on about self-destructing windmills and flyaway solar panels, and fantasize over nonexistent pipedreams such as tiny Herbert Hoover gully dams, tidal, hydro and biofuel, electric cars and so on. Electricity from the monopoly is so expensive that theft is a major problem occupying much of the looter party’s platform space.  If it fails to produce electricity and gets people killed, you will find it in Progressive Party plans. You will not find any mention of nuclear energy in their plan. Entrenched looter parties have drawn up specifications to exclude the Libertarian Party–over and above the Nixon Anti-Libertarian law. So the LP is banned there as in such exemplary democracies as Venezuela, North Korea, Brazil and China.

Satellite photos show Puerto Rico about as well lit today as it was in 1896, when starving in concentration camps run by Big Government mixed-economy Spaniards. Just next door, the British Virgin Islands look like New York juxtaposed with North Korea in nighttime images. Naval nuclear reactors are what stand between Puerto Ricans starving in the dark and having some minimal power. The island has had spotty access to potable water for years and now relies on bottled water handouts. Compare Bay City, hit by the same hurricanes and now up and running nicely thanks to its nuclear reactors. Nice planning, wot?

Warship Philadelphia burning at Tripoli

Alongside the religious fanatics who swear that German Lutherans and Catholics never built 66 death camps in which to exterminate “selfish” juden in the 1940s, a new variant of end-times Millerites has emerged–possibly in counterreaction to the Islamic reaction to the George Holy War Bush dynasty invasions of Ottoman territory beginning in 1990.

Faced with the literal text of an international treaty declaring that These United States are NOT a mystical theocracy, American National Socialists vehemently insist that the Treaty of Peace and Friendship of 1796 between Tripoli and These United States is a lie, fiction, a clumsy fabrication with no basis in reality. Richard Dawkins, the scientist and author of The Selfish Gene, is somehow dragged into accountability. Here is some text excerpted from my own 1909 collection of treaties:

Article XI. As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility of Musselmen; and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mehometan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries. (page 1786)
I, Joel Barlow, agent and consul general of the United States of America, for the city and kingdom of Algiers, certify and attest that the foregoing is a true copy of the Treaty, concluded between the said United States and the Bey and subjects of Tripoli of Barbary, of which the original is to be transmitted by me to the Minister of the said United States, in Lisbon. In testimony whereof, I signed these presence with my hand and a fix there to the seal of the consulate of the United States, and Algiers, this fourth day of January, 1797. Joel Barlow. (…) Know ye, that I, David Humphreys, Commissioner plenipotentiary aforesaid, do approve and conclude the said treaty, and every article and clause therein contained, reserving the same nevertheless for final ratification of the president of the United States of America, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate of the said United States. In testimony whereof, I have signed the same with my name and seal, at the city of Lisbon, this 10th of February, 1797. David Humphreys.

That was the hotly denied Treaty of 1796, but the superseding 1805 Treaty of Peace and Amity with the Mehomitan Musselmen of Tripoli soon followed. Its Article XIV is toned down compared to its Freethinking precursor. For one thing, French Napoleonic communism in its post-Terror period had spread to Italy, and looking north from Africa, the myrmidons of Mohammed probably preferred watching secular socialists to having so many crusader-types busily gunning for them. But Americans–at the time caught up in the apoplectic fits of the Second Great Awakening–doubtless looked aghast at the very idea of abandoning Jesus in the confrontation with the Barbary Coast Saracen blackamoor.

The toned-down 1805 Tripoli Treaty disclaimer of fanaticism began:

Article XIV: As the Government of the United States of America has in itself no character of enmity towards the laws, religion or tranquility of Musselmen; and as the said States have never entered into any voluntary war or any act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, except in the defense of their jus rights to freely navigate the high seas, it is declared by the contracting parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries. (…)

Since the offending “America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion;” has been neatly elided, National Socialists of all denominations will doubtless endorse this version as real, genuine, legitimate and not a clerical error based on mistranslation of an alien language they themselves couldn’t read if they had to. The balance of the Article consists mainly of As-samalu-alaykums reminiscent of a Cecil B. de Mille production on how Crusaders and Salazar agree that Allah is God–or perhaps the cover of a Charlie Hebdo comic.

Trump’s Libertarian Party Card

On September 9, 2015, Donald Trump gave Reason TV his opinion of libertarianism:

Donald Trump: “I like it. A lot of good things. I don’t want to talk to you now, but a lot of good things, a lot of good points.”

On July 19, 2016, Donald Trump won an entrenched party nomination as its candidate for president. Time elapsed: 10 months and ten days after he said nice things about the LP.org.

On November 8, 2016 Donald Trump was elected President.
Time elapsed after Trump’s original pro-libertarian comment: 14 months.

George Waffen Bush’s first Executive Order establishing a faith-based Fifth Column within the federal government led to a predictable asset-forfeiture Crash and Great Depression. Folks recalled the time when the Great Depression was brought on by Herbert Hoover’s prohibition enforcement policies, and the Republican Party had a problem.  Running an overdone faith-based invader of the opium regie in Vietnam failed miserably in the 2008 economic collapse. Nobody mistook McCain’s anti-choice running mate for Tonie Nathan. Nominating the leader of a prohibitionist, anti-choice mystical cult in the 2012 Great Depression also failed.

At a time when voters correctly surmised that government action by entrenched politicians had again wrecked the economy, Trump sewed up the Gee Oh Pee nomination ten months ahead of time with those 8 words: “I like it. A lot of good things.” The Libertarian Card was Trump’s implicit threat of running for office on the Libertarian Party ticket. When Trump spoke those words, God’s Own Prohibitionists suddenly remembered how Ross Perot’s spoiler votes had cost their party boodle, pelf, handouts, grants, paychecks, subsidies and jobs in the middle of a prohibitionist asset-forfeiture depression. Trump had foreshadowed the strategy WAY in advance… 16 years before closing in for the kill.

The same thing happened to President Taft, when Teddy Roosevelt swung the election to Woodrow Wilson. Nixon won in 1968 despite George Wallace taking the ku-klux vote. But Nixon’s Moral Majority Republicans adopted Dixiecrat bigotry so fast you’d think George Wallace had won every electoral vote and become Grand Goblin himself. Nixon also got the tax code changed to inject subsidies into entrenched looter party campaigns–this within 24 hours of the Libertarian Party forming.

FDR’s victory came entirely thanks to the Liberal Party of America. In a Gentlemen’s Agreement, that party faded into the background once the Democratic platform followed their example by adopting a prohibition repeal plank. Herbert Hoover’s tax-law prohibitionism had so thoroughly wrecked the economy that voters stayed away from Republican prohibitionists for five consecutive elections.

The Libertarian Party’s four million spoiler votes cast a long shadow over the three million or so popular votes that Hillary wishes had made her the “real” winner. The Democratic party wishes it had copied the Libertarian planks on relegalization and energy instead of listening to econazis and pushing for National Socialist gun laws. Threatening to make electricity illegal and pass socialist gun laws was the height of disqualifying stupidity.
