In order to earn spoiler votes that pressure the kleptocracy into changing bad laws, we need a platform written by sane, rational people with some minimal education and a grasp of what is government, what it is good for, what rights are, what freedom is, and how to get people to vote for our candidates. We had just such a platform in 1972, and it promptly repealed Dixiecrat race suicide laws prohibiting birth control, and began the slow process of reversing prohibition laws.
Now let’s suppose I were to apply for the platform committee, then tell the people who paid dues, did volunteer work and contributed their money, that the U.S. Constitution (the shortest constitution out there)–the constitution candidates are expected to take an oath to uphold and defend–is irrelevant. Would you appreciate that?
Imagine a libertarian candidate–elected after a struggling campaign despite the 1971 Nixon Law that still subsidizes looter parties–standing on the inauguration dais and flipping off the assembled dignitaries by saying:
The federal Constitution is just some magical divine stains drawn on some parchment by politicians. Violating the U.S. Constitution is not an actual crime.
Would you imagine that candidate had served your interest in democratically converging on a freer society? Ask yourself if someone like that would be exercising good stewardship over the money you donated to the Libertarian Party war chest in order to pay staff, fend off scurrilous pettifoggery and offer a sensible platform you and candidates can be proud of. I no longer donate to such an organization. Instead I seek out state LPs run by intelligent and honest people, and send donations directly to candidates I believe are doing a good job. Here is what I am trying to preserve:
Meanwhile, I reiterate my request that every member of the current platform committee hand in their resignations. With friends like them, enemies are superfluous. If you doubt this, follow their endless email equivocations for just a little while.(link)
When a candidate asks for your vote, why not ask them what parts of the LP platform they think are advantageous or detrimental to our efforts to enforce individual rights and make government better? It’s a question David Nolan raised. It is the question Matt Welch from Reason Magazine failed to ask of an uninspiring collection of wannabee candidates.(link)
Find out how looter party infiltration brought on the Income Tax and Prohibition Amendments that caused the Crash and Great Depression.
Why do refugees flee Statesward? Because the Republican Party’s 1928 Good Neighbor Policy began the exportation of the fanatical prohibitionism that brought on the Crash and left the US economy smoldering in the Great Depression. Prohibition and The Crash–Cause and Effect in 1929, explains how fanatical agents raiding banks in a fractional-reserve monetary structure SHRINK economies here, there and everywhere into black holes of banking panics and liquidity crises.
