The Second Amendment also protects the U.S. Military and State militias in their right to bear nuclear weapons capable of disabling incoming hostile missiles.(link) Joe Biden, in his campaign to help the Soviet Union disarm the USA, referred to the Strategic Defense Initiative protection against nuclear aggression as “Nuclearizing the Heavens”.(link) Biden is clearly a fan of then-kitschy pro-Soviet movies like The China Syndrome, Threads, Testament, Dark Circle, Silkwood, No Nukes, If You Love This Planet, Dead Man’s Letters and When the Wind Blows. All of these brainwashing extravaganzas generated social pressure to abandon the Constitution and surrender to foreign dictatorial altruism.
Right now, Republican National Socialists are preoccupied exclusively with the restoration of Comstockist enslavement of women as part of Teedy Rosenfeld’s War on Race Suicide and Women’s Duty to the Republican Party.(link) Their platform contains some good proposals for energy, but party spokesmen speak only of sumptuary prohibition of the sort Herbert Hover used to cause the great Depression, have agents kill the innocent and–by way of reaction–increase communist party membership sevenfold. Women flee Republican States the way they flee Iran, and for identical reasons.(link)
Democrats chant the 1961 Soviet Sharknados prediction, only now The Apocalypse is predicted because of laissez-faire energy instead of capitalist weapons.(link) Republicans will not rest until all women are barefoot and pregnant or in jail for plant leaves, while Democrats want everyone in a communist People’s Army. To hell with national defense or having a reliable electrical grid.
Henry Louis Mencken hit it on the nose when he complained that Every decent man is ashamed of the government he lives under.

Good reading: What with the nuke rattling, now is a good time to catch up on some old classics. Alas Babylon by Pat Frank is a nuclear war survival story set in Atlas Shrugged and Atlas Launcher-era Florida, also available as an audiobook.(link) The Chrysalids by John Wyndham, made famous by the Jefferson Airplane’s Crown of Creation album named after a line in the book, is also available in audio.(link) Finally, Nuclear War Survival Skills by Cresson Kearney is what I used to mail all over These States as mail clerk for The Golem Press. Prof Beckmann printed thousands of copies to supply to organizations from Honolulu to Portsmouth to Portsmouth. These crates of books had a habit of disappearing, so as mail clerk I had to stand in line to collect the Postal insurance and resend them. Two odollars from Amazon is dirt cheap for anything Edward Teller helped with. (link)
Good movies: The Golem. This is central European lore and legend about people who persecute Jews and the unequal yet apposite reprisal action that could await them were someone successful in calling forth a Golem as Protector. While mailing out books I had no clue abot the Golem legend, but this movie is a delightfully scripted and very poignant portrayal well worth the time. It is definitely NOT a horror movie, but does warn against deserving reprisals. (link)
Get the complete story in Prohibition and The Crash on Amazon Kindle in two languages. After this you’ll be able to explain to economists exactly how fanaticism and loss of freedom wrecked the U.S. economy.
